Doug & Linda Honold

Doug has been breeding purebred Angus cattle since 1958, and purebred Tarentaise cattle since 1986. His dedication and love for the breed keeps him busy in making better genetic cattle, geared for calving ease and meat production. Linda is in charge in the day to day office work. Doug and his wife Linda have three sons Jeff, Cory, and Michael. They are also proud grandparents to six grandchildren who keep them busy.

Jeff Honold

Jeff has been involved in the Hat Ranch for his entire life.  He stated by buying Angus heifers and keeping them as cows.  He has the honor of owning the cow that most of today's Hat Ranch cows go back to.  He started Hat Ranch Feeds and after a few years brother Cory took it over.  Jeff worked off the ranch for 25 years at a national candy and tobacco wholesaler.  He had various jobs from head lesion for their largest chain to accounts receivable manager.  He returned as the sales and marketing manager in 2017.  To date, he travels up to twelve different states and is more than happy to stop at your farm or ranch for a visit. He and his wife Lisa have 3 daughters Keeley Young and her husband Josh, Kristin and her special friend Zach Promes, and Kenzie.

Michael Honold

Michael grew up in the HAT RANCH system having purchased his first Angus cow at age 7 and his first Tarentaise cow at age 9. He also plays a key role in the genetic selection. He is currenty living in Wyoming with his wife Jill and daugter Leah. His son Heath is is Des Moines.

Les Haight

Les and his wife Kay have bred cattle and horses for many years, on the Haight family ranch south of Gillette, WY which was homesteaded in 1902. His purebred Tarentaise cows are now at the HAT RANCH He has been a great addition to the Hat Ranch.
